GeForce GTX 770 2GB Overclocking

Given that the GTX 770 is already an overclocked GTX 680 with a relatively high intial set of clock speeds, we weren’t holding out too much hope for overclocking. However, it actually proved to be not too bad. Using EVGA’s Precision X tool, we raised the power threshold to 106% and the temperature threshold to 96°C and were able to add 130MHz to the boost curve, making for a 12% increase. This was accompanied by a much more modest 75MHz increase to the memory speed. At these settings load temperature rose by 2°C to a pretty toasty 82°C, suggesting there's perhaps more overclocking headroom if using a more substantial third-party cooler.

As per usual we ran the card for a prolonged period at these settings, with Unigine Valley 1.0 running in the background at 2,560 x 1,600, and it remained rock solid.

The performance results of the overclock were mixed with the Unigine score only rising by a mere 34 points (a less than 2% gain). In BF3, however, there was a better return with the minimum framerate at 2,560 x 1,600 rising from 43fps to 46fps, and the average from 52fps to 55fps (~7% increase).
